(favourite scent, a book of instructions and a book of secrets, yet more macarons that i did not make this time (i'm almost sorry for my obsession) and part of my favourite tenue)

I have discovered that my favourite thing in the world is watching the snow turn pink before the winter stars come out. This year was my very first white christmas, after almost 17 years of waiting and wishing. And also, in the year with two 11s, i promise that i will post often, i am collecting pictures of pretty things. Which also means i am collecting pretty things which is most emphatically a benefit.

I fear this is what springs from a love of baking, and all things beautiful and sugary, and also from living in a place where there are chocolateries and patisseries about every hundred yards!

I don't like the summer, there are no clouds to hide behind.

All the things i should have told you, pussy bows, marie antoinette undies, flour-and-butter-and-sugar-and-eggs-and-edible-glitter, summer reads, button holes, china birds and all the tea in china.

I stay inside wishing and hoping that nobody will ask me out to dance.

I'd rather make the most of nothing at all.
